Job Description
We’re looking for an organizational sherpa to help lead the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and our colleagues through the Himalayas of change. As the ideal candidate you will have keen business acumen to complement exceptional organizational development experience, and will have some strong tools to help guide change management in a dynamic business environment. In this role, you will be a part-time organizational cheerleader, and full-time organizational counselor.
As a trainer, you must love the limelight, and yet know how to draw others out. Your repertoire of training experience is varied. You can teach time management skills and techniques, and project management philosophy and tools. You can coach a creative communicator to develop good analytical skills, and a good analyst to be a great communicator. You’re comfortable in front of a small classroom, a large conference, and a video camera. You’ve developed courses for intact sessions, e-learning, and on-demand presentations. You’re curriculum caters to specific client needs, and reaches across broad audiences.
As a facilitator, you are part mediator, part director, part guide. You set the ground rules and keep a team focused on their objective, while nurturing appropriate diversions.
As a coach, you are comfortable working with developing managers and senior executives.
As a colleague, you’ll be an integral part of a small, well-respected training and organizational development team that likes to have fun and takes great pride in their work.
Responsible for creation, facilitation and implementation of business unit specific training curriculum and organizational development initiatives that provide practical solutions to the client organization’s needs.
The qualified Organizational Development and training practitioner will:
Identify organizational gaps, development and training needsPlan, organize, develop and implement and deliver training and Organizational Development solutions for the Business UnitsConstantly assess the effectiveness and return on investment of all training programs.
Essential Skills
Attributes of the Sr. Learning & Organizational Development Trainer:
Masters Degree in Business, Psychology or a related field8 + years related experience in training and organizational developmentWell-versed in best practices and principles of training and organizational developmentExperienced in planning, developing, organizing, supporting and facilitating a broad range of training and OD initiatives and programsCapable of assessing the development needs of a team or an organization and partnering with that organization to customize and facilitate an effective strategic interventionResults-oriented, yet flexible and able to effectively function in a fast-moving, fast-changing companyAble to effectively partner with internal stakeholders and teammates as well as external consultantsExperienced in coaching manager level, and B and C level ExecutivesExperience working in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed environmentCoaching Certification from accredited coach training program Ability to build solid working relationships and interact with internal clients in order to identify key professional development needs and respond with solutions that will aid in improving performance Strong consulting skills and proven facilitation and communication skills Proven track record on working across organizations, geographies and functions Demonstrated and proven ability to incorporate operational management knowledge and experience as well as training skills and creativity into programs that reflect HR management best practices to deliver quality employee learning Outstanding project management, analytical, planning and problem solving abilities, along with solid facilitations skills Experience working with confidential material in a discreet and professional manner General understanding of employment law, employee relations and performance management concepts Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
