Server Technical Senior

Job Description: The build out, maintenance and support of a Windows server environment which includes over 180 Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers, domain controllers, fax servers backup systems and fax servers.  LAN administration responsibilities’ include implementation of security compliance standards, patches, risk mitigation and remediation projects.  Daily requirements of tape backup and recovery systems require knowledge of Arcserve, Legato and Veritas Net Backup.  Knowledge of storage system implementations and support is preferred.  Rotational on-call responsibilities require a primary commitment approximately every 6th week with expectations of 24x7x365 assistance and escalation support as required. Requirements: Interactive communication skills including verbal and written communication skills are essential in dealing with the internal customers and support vendors.  The ability to balance multiple projects with daily support requirements is essential.  - MCSE and Bachelors degree are preferred, however equivalent work experience will be considered.  - Windows Server 2000 - Windows Server 2003 - Microsoft Active Directory domain administration - Dell and HP hardware support  - CNE or Novell Netware 5 support experience  - an understanding of TCP/IP network functionality is required for problem resolution - VBScript or alternate scripting tools  - problem solving skills  - project leadership skills  Additional Preferred Skills:VBScript or alternate scripting tools - problem solving skills - project leadership skills  PFPC, a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, is a leading provider of processing, technology and business solutions for the global investment industry.
