We are looking for an experienced sales professional for the role of Small Business Development Officer. In this position you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and developing small business prospects and new clients. You will also drive the sale of business loans and banking services (including deposits, loans, and cash management services) through multiple retail branches.
In this position you will:
· Source prospects, develop new clients and sell business banking services and products to new clients.
· Develop strategies to identify prospects and follow up on sales leads in order to achieve sales results and meet established sales goals.
· Maintain and expand referral sources through regular networking and outreach strategies.
· Establish and maintain thorough prospect files, and maintain sales and customer data through Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system as appropriate.
· Make sales calls on prospective clients to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
· Other sales related activities and relationship activities as assigned.
To join our team, you will need:
· Active involvement and a strong network within the Central Florida business community with an established book of business / client base.
· 3+ years of outside sales experience.
· Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (degree preferred).
· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain networks and contacts and to generate sales prospects and leads.
· Demonstrated ability to make outside sales calls (including cold calls), and to identify clients' needs through active selling techniques.
· Effective sales ability and persuasiveness, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving, negotiation and follow up skills.
· Ability to develop personal knowledge of bank products, sales and service techniques.
· Computer literacy required.
