Small Business Lender

Community Capital Resources is a not for profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) established in 1989 that provides financial, technical and educational resources to  community development initiatives in the lower Hudson Valley of New York.

CCR, an SBA Certified Micro Lender,  is seeking an experienced small business or consumer lender to manage its Micro Business Program who will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and in collaboration with the volunteer Micro Business Committee. 

The Micro Business Program, is a relatively new program targeted to start up and emerging entrepreneurs.  The Program isgrowing rapidly and now includes a $500,000 loan portfolio with the number and size of the loans increasing each year.The Small Business Program Manager will be responsible for marketing the loan program, qualifying borrowers, providing loan origination and underwriting as well as portfolio management.  In addition to lending, the Program Manager will provide one-on-one technical assistance to borrowers, oversee training workshops, coordinate the Peer Support networking/mentoring program and seek funding to support our activities.

The ideal candidate will have credit experience with small business or consumer loans, a desire to work in a not for profit culture, computer literacy, an attention to detail, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituencies.  A BA in business, real estate, community development or related field is required.  Own transportation is essential.  Spanish a plus.
