Software Application Specialist

Job Requirements: 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology or related field plus two (2) years experience in installing desktop and server operating systems, application software, and applying software patches and upgrades and  three (3) years experience in software development and programming.  Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical skills, problem solving and project skills are essential.  Knowledge of data processing procedures and concepts, programming methods and procedures and familiarity with system procedures and design are required.  Additionally experience with SQL Server, XML, and Visual Basic is preferred. 

 

Job Summary:

 

This position reports directly to the Software Development & Maintenance Director. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for installing, documenting and testing new software releases and updates.  Insuring that all server and Disaster Recovery related documentation remains up to date.  This position will provide high level problem resolution and support primarily to in-bank users of both purchased and internally developed software systems.  Work assignments may often require tasks to be completed beyond normal work hours with limited impact to availability during the normal work day.
