Angott Search Group is pleased to conduct an exclusive retained search for a Special Assets Officer for one of the nation’s strongest growing community banks.  This Michigan based forward-thinking financial organization, is seeking an individual with proven leadership abilities and a strong track record of success in workout/special assets within a financial institution. 

To say the least, this is an organization of which is getting a great deal of attention here in the Midwest by customers and competitor banks. They have experienced an average of over 30% growth in deposits each year over the past 8 years and last year an over 20% increase in combined loans!  Not only is it just plain fun to be with a dynamic growing customer focused company, it is critical to your career if you anticipate it to continue to grow and progress as well.

The Workout/Special assets Officer will work with troubled loans and loans the bank has decided to “exit” or get what they can and cut their losses.  This person takes over the relationship with clients from the banker, for instance a middle market lender, when loans are in default or are headed that way. You will work with lenders and assist in the management and deal with relationships with these loans. This position is located in western Michigan.

Requirements: Candidates must have 8-10 years of banking experience; including work out/special asset experience. Previous management experience is required. Other well rounded banking experience is a plus because this position has tremendous career growth possibilities!
