Sr. Network Engineer

Fremont Bank, one of the most successful independent community banks in the Bay Area, is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer.  The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and supporting network infrastructure including switches, routers and firewalls. Will provide support for LAN/WAN infrastructure as needed.  Troubleshoot network problems utilizing network analyzers and/or snuffers and other troubleshooting tools. Test and evaluate various equipment, systems, Ions and procedures for use with the network.  Evaluate new network software and hardware that will enhance the network environment.  Coordinate and perform VPN and Firewall activations. Prepare documentation on primary areas of responsibility and solutions to problems and regular status reports.

 

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, CS or equivalent.  

 5+ years of lead or senior level Network Engineer 5-7 years industry experience designing, building, and managing complex networks CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification (Must be willing to obtain a CISSP certification) Strong organizational skills, customer service skills with exceptional communication sills both written and verbal Successful track record completing complex network engineering projects Strong knowledge in Strategic Network Planning Network Design and Implementation Strong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications IPSEC, PPTP, WAN, T1, T3, DSL etc.
