Sr. Oracle Architect

 

The responsibilities for this position include:

· This highly visible position will require extensive Oracle RDBMS experience (UNIX and warehousing environments).  Partitioning and Veritas Clustering experience strongly preferred.  Become part of cutting edge technical environment, work with people at the top of their game, and participate in a variety of projects.

· Full life cycle support of client's database(s).

· Responsible database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades and performance tuning.

· Will also be required to work with developers to design and build new structures to support future enhancements to the applications.

· Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills.

· Candidate is expected to be familiar with architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning.

· Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills.

· Oracle 10g experience required.

 

The qualifications for this position include:

· 8+ years with Oracle RDBMS on UNIX, including strong 10g experience, in a large warehouse environment.  This person should be a technical Guru!

· Very strong performance tuning and partitioning experience

· Veritas Clusterware strongly preferred

· Excellent communication/presentation skills.  Will be interfacing with executives and clients.

· 4year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).

· 10g experience required

· Oracle Streams

· Oracle AQ

· RMAN

· Experience with Veritas Clusterware preferred

· Partitioning

· PL/SQL

· Good performance and tuning skill set

· Shell scripting

· Oracle support in .net environment preferred
