We are seeking experienced Brokers and Sales Assistants to work in our new Los Angeles office. 







The Broker/Dealer Sales Assistant will provide administrativesupport to EuroPacific Capital brokers. Communicates daily with clientsproviding routine security information, execution of trades as directed byclients and brokers. Researches and resolves inquiries communicating resolutionto appropriate parties.

 

Knowledge/Skills Required

Some knowledgeof various investment products i.e., stocks, bonds, mutual funds, equities and

annuities,usually acquired through formal training or experience, to provide clientinvestment related information. Ability to utilize a personal computer and varioussoftware packages to provide word processing support.

 

MajorDuties

1. Provides administrative support to brokers by processing newaccount applications, obtaining necessary account documents, resolvinginquiries, and handling account transfers.
2. Communicates daily with clients providing trade settlement figures,coordinating the delivery/payment of securities, and other routine requests.
3. Acts on behalf of the broker by purchasing and selling securities withinscope of authority.
4. Answers incoming calls, handling requests or directing to appropriateparties.
5. Researches and resolves late payments, overdraft items, pending serviceinquiries, and communicates resolution to appropriate parties.
6. Acts as a resource to other staff members on the policies and procedures ofthe brokerage firm and regulatory bodies.
7. Provides necessary client services to walk-in clients, including the receiptof monies and securities.

 

ExperienceRequired

1-2+ years related security industry experience, with a premiumplaced on experience with Pershing, LLC Clearinghouse systems.
