Store Banking Analyst III

The primary purpose of this position is to provide ongoing analysis of bank fees for improved cost savings strategies and to organize all store banking activities including account maintenance and bank comparisons. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Coordinate all store bank account openings, changes and closings including all necessary paperwork and system updates. Coordinate all armored car relationships: facilitate all billings, ensure proper service and ensure lowest possible pricing. Act as primary contact for problem resolution in all cash concentration processes (ACH, ZBA, RD, armored car and store banking/field issues). Coordinate the deposit bag and ticket program including vendor evaluation. Utilize Weiland software to ensure appropriate bank charges and to prepare pricing summaries and comparisons to highlight negotiation possibilities. Review bank and armored car fee payment requests for accuracy and completeness, coordinate follow up on incorrect billings and track savings. Assist in price negotiations with banks for existing and new services (identify and recommend areas of potential bank and armored car cost savings and comparitive analysis). Review RD system exceptions for reasonability and assist in problem resolution. Prepare Cash Position Worksheet and wire transfer information as backup when needed. Assist field and accounting personnel with research as needed. This position directly supervises the Store banking Analyst and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business, plus two (two) years' experience in banking or an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
