Support Analyst

The Client Trading Technology (CTT) group provides world class electronic trading solutions and services to our global external clients for a range of Fixed Income products. Key functions include:

• 24 * 6 External Client Services & Support in all regions.
• Global Professional Services for Client Facing Development Projects.
• Global Pre and Post Sales Client Support.
• 24 Hour Subject Matter & Development Expertise.

PrimeTrade is Credit Suisse’s internet-based multi-products trade routing and related clearing platform. It incorporates trade order routing, clearing and research in one global platform, enabling customers to obtain confirmation of their trades, automatic reconciliation and export of these trades to their back office system. PrimeTrade currently supports trading for Futures, Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income products. It utilizes Java-based solutions such as Swing set, Message Oriented Middleware and JDBC connections to the database.

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

As part of the CTT Professional Services team, the candidate will
• Manage engineering and certification of FIX connections for Fixed Income clients globally – involves coordinating work of various teams across the firm.
• Work cooperatively with client representatives, Fixed Income Business and Technical Support staff to provide timely and reliable solutions for CS client’s electronic trading and straight-through processing needs.
• Provide client IT relationship management with top tier Fixed Income clients – Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Provide back-up to Client Services support staff for troubleshooting client API and FIX issues.
• Follow and support established team processes for managing projects, developing and deploying solutions.
• Provide regular and professional status updates to senior management and sales teams.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES  
There might be occasional travel to other regions (e.g. New York). No specific shift work, but may be required to work early/late shift or weekends during releases

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
• Experience in front office trading environment
• Experience of designing / implementing solutions for interfacing different systems
• Electronic trading knowledge
• 5+ years experience in IT with in a hands-on support role in an investment bank.

TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
REQUIRED:
• Knowledge and grasp of FIX protocol and electronic trading
• Unix Operating System / Unix shell scripting 
• NT/DOS shell scripting 
• Troubleshooting client issues in technically diverse environments
DESIREABLE:
• Knowledge and grasp of SQL 
• C++, Java
• Working with Messaging Systems 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills – MUST be able to converse with both technical and non-technical parties
• Proven ability to work independently under pressure
• Able and willing to work cooperatively with diverse technical and business groups globally
 
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
At least and undergraduate Degree - (Maths / Engineering / Computer Science / Banking & Finance)
