This individual must be a strong technologist who is highly-motivated, energetic and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for technology vendor evaluations, architecture recommendations, preparation of design documentation and technology leadership throughout the SDLC. Required Skills:Must have solid experience with Web Application Development and J2EE application architecture. A strong understanding of the technologies used within the applications is required. The core technologies include: Java, Oracle, XML, Web Services, SAML, CSS, JSP, MQ Series. Familiarity and understanding of the hosting environment (Websphere, Apache, Linux) is also desirable. Must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. The candidate should be comfortable gathering business requirements, determining system design considerations, preparing work estimates, developing a work breakdown structure and leading a team of engineers through the execution of a project plan. The candidate will also provide on-call technical support for 24x7 production applications. The ideal candidate will be a strong technologist with a excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, negotiating skills, demonstrated leadership skills and successful project execution experience.
