Systems Admin / Active Directory
Active Directory Admin needed for contract opening here in Jacksonivlle, FL.Candidates need to be able to roll on a permanent basis. Monitor & maintain the health of the enterprise Active Directory to ensure optimal performance and to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments. • Monitor and maintain security updates and patches on the infrastructure. • DNS / WINS administration and troubleshooting • Prepare and maintain documentation of system configuration and layout as well as look for ways to improve and streamline the department's procedures & processes. • Regular review of AD Infrastructure for sound, error free, 100% availability, using Microsoft, NetIQ and Quest tools. • Must be able to work extended hours, including after business hours and weekends, as operational deadlines and emergencies require • Assist and train Technical Analysts to support IT systems. • Provides information to management identifying hardware and software needs to provide appropriate levels of systems and services within the corporation. Candidate must be able to work both independently and in a team environment and be able to interact effectively with other team members, management and clients. The candidate must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Requires a customer focused orientation and competence in response to customers, management, vendors, and coworkers. The successful candidate must be flexible to a 24/7 schedule and will also require participation in the departmental rotation schedule on a need basis. • Minimum 2/3 years experience and expertise in implementing and supporting an Enterprise wide, multi-location Windows 2000 / 2003 Active Directory environment. • Strong Windows server hardware and software troubleshooting skills; as well as experience using and setting up system monitoring and management technologies • Strong understanding of configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, Site topology, Replication, LDAP Directories, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, TCP/IP, IIS; excellent understanding of the implementation of Microsoft security concepts in Active Directory infrastructure • Installation and support of Quest Active Directory Management Suite, prior experience preferred. • Basic project management skills to help develop project plans and documentation. • Understanding of risk analysis, and the ability to determine impact based on risk, probability, and mitigating factors. • Basic scripting experience using visual basic script, Windows batch files, or other viable Windows scripting tools a strong plus but not a requirement.please send all qualified resumes to daniel.sullivan@modisit.com .
