Systems Analyst II
1. Determines impact of known and anticipated business needs upon system configurations in use. ? Researches, evaluates, designs, and proposes basic to moderately complex technology solutions to meet business needs cost-effectively and in accordance to standards.2. Evaluates recent and evolving financial industry events to anticipate likely technology needs; investigates the advantages, disadvantages, risks, and costs of reported solutions.? Works with internal and external organizations to build on ideas that further reduce operating and investment costs, enhance quality or enhance revenues from proposed alternatives.3. Presents advantages, disadvantages, lead-time and costs of proposed technology alternatives to affected parties for concurrence; monitors organization's responsiveness and revise proposal as needed.4. Evaluates database design and configuration thresholds, including capacity and performance. ? Recommends system improvements as needed to resolve instability issues and extend overall system life.5. Evaluates and prescribes software routines and procedures to keep resource consumption (CPU cycles, disk read/write processes, network traffic) at a minimum.6. Evaluates and prescribes operating efficiencies, including system availability, response time between selected components, data-error checking, and data discard rate.7. Defines, develops and publishes standards and procedures for on-going operations, including automated services, naming conventions and directory structures, local and remote access, data storage and data back-up.8. Provides technical guidance to project teams and department staff as needed to meet stated business objectives.9. Exchanges information, verbally and in writing, clearly, accurately, reliably, and timely.10. Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. 11. Performs engineering design evaluations.12. Tests software programs to compare to specifications and documentation.13. Diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in configurations, including wiring, hubs, servers, switches, routers, and gateways.Requirements: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED? Bachelor?s degree from a four-year college or university.? 2-5 years professional experience in systems support and development, or equivalent combination of experience and education.? Certification in job required systems and application platforms (i.e. Windows NT/ Visual Basic, JAVA, etc.)PREFERRED? Master?s or Advanced degree in computer related field from an accredited college or university.? 2-5 years systems support and design experience in Mortgage Banking and web based lending.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES? Ability to manage high job complexity prioritize and meet multiple customer requirements to complete systems support/development tasks on time (90%) and on budget (10% variance).? Ability to organize and coordinate simple to moderately complex projects.? Strong oral and written communication abilities.? Ability to adapt to change.
