Technical Project Manager

Vedior NA is currently seeking a well-seasoned Techinal Project Manager to work a 2 month contract role on-site with it's client in Seattle.

This position will have responsibilities, under minimal supervision, for providing direction and co-ordination of testing activities which cross technology and business teams. This position involves matrix management of resources responsible for performing quality assurance activities in accordance with SDLC.


Leads moderately complex projects with a medium to high corporate priority, have a significant budget(s) with a higher risk. Participates in negotiations with potential clients; assisting clients in the development of business plans, strategies, etc. Manages vendor relationships, provides subject matter expertise, analyzes and researches planned or proposed high profile changes to banking business operations; evaluates project life cycle.

Essential Functions:
- Provide direction to interdepartmental test teams
- Communicate standard test practices and ensure those practices are followed
- Publish visio of test environments- environment is comprised of internal and external systems
- Ensures end to end test strategy is documented
- Ensures the end to end scenarios are defined and agreed to by impacted test teams
- Coordinate and document build schedule(s) and deploy(s)
- Document and communicate test schedule
- Co-ordinate identification and use of test data
- Facilitate project level test meetings
- Escalate blocking issues
- Provide testing status to QA management and Project Management
- Tracks and monitors all open test issues


Required Skills:
- Articulate and able to influence
- Solid project management skills
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Assurance
- Ability to identify and assess critical path items
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred, some industry training preferred
- Experience as test manager is required
- Experience negotiating among competing groups is required
- Project management experience is required
- Solid knowledge of the banking industry is required
- Previous experience from inception to launch with large systems crossing multiple technologies
- Familiar with application development in a financial environment
- Quality Center experience is required
