We also manage to keep a sense of humor along the way.  So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!    Teller responsibilities include: • Fast-paced, high-volume, face-to-face customer contact • Processing customer financial transactions • Identifying and selling Washington Mutual products and services beneficial to the customers needs • Address customer questions and concerns and refer to appropriate internal resources for resolution • Establish and control customer files • Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses to the bank • Stay updated on new products and services and maintain awareness of current fraud alerts Tellers work in a fast-paced, high-volume cash-handling environment with daily face-to-face customer contact. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. Some local travel may initially be required for training purposes.         Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally in English (both written and oral) is a requirement. Strong math and computer skills are also a requirement. Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Must sell financial products and services to meet referral goals. Must be available Monday through Saturday. Teller and/or retail sales experience is preferred. Cash handling experience in a high-volume production environment is a requirement. Ability to be present at your assigned workstation (work area) for the duration of your assigned shift. Must be detail oriented.
