Legal and Compliance division in embarked on a strategic program to monitor and report on cross-divisional trade and position data for consolidated regulatory reporting. The data is critical for surveillance and compliance reporting. It is a multi year program that spans several countries and continents. We are looking for a Senior Data/Database Consultant to help diagnose, design and implement the short term and longer term technical vision. Must be an independent leader and have the ability to mentor teams of developers, BAs and SME's as required. Collaboration and communication skills must be excellent, as the candidate must have the ability to effectively demonstrate a deep understanding of change management in a multi national development team:



Overall Responsibilities:Architect, Develop, and Support Oracle 10g RAC, Hyperion and Infomatica
ETL tools.
Development of new software to specification
Design of new software components and services.
Writing technical code documentation
Maintenance of existing base of software, including the implementation of fixes and enhancements
Second-line support existing applications (i.e. escalation from support to development team)
Test Systems (e.g. unit, system, integration, stress, regression, migration)


 

Functional Responsibilities:Offer expert Oracle, Hyperion, Infomatica advice/working knowledge to large team of client and server side developers.
Work with business analysts to understand user requirements and develop technical solutions.
Prepare technical code and support documentation for the delivered application components.
Mentor / cross-train other team members
Adhere to set coding standards, procedures and techniques.
Work with other IT groups to configure, implement and support production.
Involved in full software development lifecycle project (SDLC) activities
Gain understanding of Legal and Compliance business issues/challenges.
Work effectively with team member in other locations situated globally.
May require travel occasionally.
Detailed unit testing (as specified in the design phase), component and acceptance testing to ensure successful release to production
Investigating and resolving defects

Effective analysis of new and existing applications and platforms
Efficient Coding (i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures, techniques and performance tuning)
Data design, mapping and coding approaches, tools and techniques





Desired Skills: Software/Product Development Database Design and Implementation Multithreading / Distributed Processing Knowledge of Asset Management, Investment Banking and Private Banking products/services a plus.
