Trade Settlement

$10b New York metro area value asset manager seeks to recruit a high caliber Trade Settlement professional to monitor and ensure the daily operation of  Trade Settlements are carried out in accordance with the Firm Procedures and Operational Standards.

Responsibilities:Provide quality equity trade settlement services to the company.Timely and accurate settlement of equity trades. Identify, investigate and resolve trade breaks to avoid trade fails and buy-ins. Alert and escalate trade settlement issues and problems to relevant trading and operations team members.Work with Trading and Operations Management personnel to review and streamline the trade settlement workflow. Implement operational controls to ensure accurate & efficient process exist.Assume other operational responsibilities as assigned which could include account openings and corporate action processing.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent education in a related field. 2 to 3 years investment operations experience preferrably at an institutional investment management firm.A solid understanding of the equity markets and the industry trade settlement workflow and infrastructure, including the trade confirmation/affirmation process (e.g. DTCC, Swift, FIX, Omgeo Oasys, custodial bank interrelationships).Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills and business ethics. Ability to multi-task and prioritze.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to interact successfully and build strong working relationships with various internal and external groups on a daily basis.Accountability, responsibility, solution and delivery focused. Successful candidate must initially be willing to work from 7:30am to 4:30pm (Work hours may shift as operational processes evolve).
