Location: New York, NY 10017Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend We are seeking an ambitious Project Manager to lead a rapidly growing development team for this venture capital funded start-up. This position will involve some development management and the delivery of a trading application to some very tight deadlines in a very demanding environment. The development team consists of back-end C++ programmers, front-end UI developers, business analysts, and QA testers. The Project Manager will work closely with the CTO/Chief Architect. The PM will be responsible for day-to-day project and people management, planning, budgeting, and project delivery. Required Skills• 3-5 year track record of previous success as a project manager leading a team of at least 5 development staff • Strong ability to successfully deliver high-pressure projects on time and with limited resources • Deep MS-Project expertise. Deep experience forecasting software development timeframes, and managing development budgets • Experience in software engineering, software development using C++, including technical architecture, application development, and middleware • Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design • Experience with trading and market data systems, ECN microstructure, matching engine algorithms preferred • OTC market or trading knowledge of instruments such as bonds, forwards, swaps, options preferred • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills • Excellent analytical and technical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Graduate degree in computer science or mathematics and substantial work experience in financial services preferred About Hudson IT & Telecommunications Hudson IT&T serves as a trusted resource for clients seeking high-quality technology professionals and IT solutions.
