Unit Manager - Hazard Operations
JOB DESCRIPTION: Plan, organizes, leads, controls and coordinates the day-today activities of associates involved in providing services in the area of hazard outsourcing. This Unit is responsible for processing new loans in regards to renewals, maintenance, reinstatements, binders, applications, substitutions and cancellation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Participates in the development of short- and long- term goals and plans for the Exceptions Processing Work Group Participates in the administration and monitoring of designated parts of an operational budget, which may include payroll tracking and managing staffing levels Communicate approved policies and procedures to work group and ensures compliance Recommends change to policies and procedures as necessary and may participate in the development and implementation of such changes. Effectively communicates with the Operations Manager to inform of all necessary information regarding associates, homeowners, and clients Hires, develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and terminates personnel or makes authoritative recommendations in such matters Participates in developing functional-specific orientation and training programs for work group and establishes standards for effective job performance - - evaluates associates according to such standards Demonstrates the ability to coordinate the workflow of the assigned unit. Ensures work is distributed appropriately and that client standards are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing quality assurance program for the work group Provides ongoing coaching and direction to the associates while creating an environment which encourages teamwork, commitment, increased productivity and superior quality Works with other members of management to develop and implement process improvements Maintains records related to work group performance, attendance, etc. Prepares or assists in the preparation of reports Responsible for participating in regularly scheduled conference calls with clients designed to obtain feedback on the performance of the Center Receives and investigates all complaints concerning the work group and its personnel; takes corrective or disciplinary action and/or prepares replyDISCLAIMER: This description provides the minimum qualification of this position, but does not necessarily include every responsibility, requirement, skill, or working condition associated with the job. EDUCATION: Associate's Degree and/or equivalent work experience required. EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of supervisory experience required. Experience in mortgage servicing, customer service or hazard insurance processing desirable.
