Unit Manager - Open Items 9:00AM - 6:00PM (M-F)
JOB DESCRIPTIONPlans, organizes, leads, controls and coordinates the day-to-day activities of associates involved in providing services in the area of hazard outsourcing. This Unit is responsible for obtaining renewal information on expiring items via outbound calls. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Participates in the development of short- and long- term goals and plans for the Processing work group. Ensures associates have suitable workspace, equipment, and reference material and office supplies to effectively perform their job function. Participates in the administration and monitoring of designated parts of an operational budget, which may include payroll tracking and managing staffing levels. Communicates approved policies and procedures to work group and ensures compliance. Recommends change to policies and procedures as necessary and may participate in the development and implementation of such changes. Effectively communicates with the Operations Managers so that they are informed of all necessary information regarding the associates, homeowners and clients. Hires, develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and terminates personnel or makes authoritatively recommendation in such matters. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate the workflow of the assigned unit. Ensures work is distributed appropriately and that client standards are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Must maintain the accuracy of client performance reports. Coordinates the consistent and accurate application of client directed business rules with assistance and monitoring from Team Leads in department. Resolves complex interpretations with other members of management and/or the client. Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing quality assurance program for the work group. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and standards. Provides ongoing coaching and direction to the associates while creating an environment which encourages teamwork, commitment, increased productivity and superior quality. Works with other members of management and/or other key associates to develop and implement process improvements. Maintains records related to work group performance, attendance, expenditures, and etc. Prepares or assists in the preparation of related reports. May conduct or participate in the analyses and resolution of operational problems. Specific records/reports requirements include daily associate production reports, timesheets, annual reviews and tracking of temporary associate performance. Responsible for participating in regularly scheduled conference calls with clients designed to obtain feedback on the performance of the Center, and to provide an opportunity to implement any necessary procedure changes. Receives and investigates all complaints concerning the work group and its personnel; determines veracity of such and (as necessary) takes corrective or disciplinary action and/or prepares reply.DISCLAIMERThis description does not necessarily include every responsibility, requirement, skill, or working condition associated with the job. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Minimum Level Necessary) Education: Associate’s degree and/or equivalent work experience is required. Experience: Two to three years of supervisory experience required. Experience in mortgage servicing, customer service or hazard insurance processing is desirable. Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. An understanding of human resource policies and procedures. Working knowledge of legacy servicing systems such as Fidelity. General knowledge of mortgage servicing and regulatory and compliance procedures. Hazard insurance processing techniques and procedures. Property insurance products including ASG lender placed products.
