Utility Representative

Bank of the Orient is a well established Asian Comunity Bank seeking a seasoned Utility Representative to perform retail branch operational functions such as tellering, opening new accounts, and some bookkeeping.A minimum 4 years hands-on experience in all phases of bank operation is required. 

 

Primary duties:Performs all teller duties including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, travelers checks, cashier's checks, money orders, safe deposit, food coupons, filing, signature verification and merchant deposits.Performs all new accounts duties including opening and closing accounts, inputting data into system, daily and monthly reports, and maintenance of new and existing accounts.Assists in balancing tellers and vault.Reviews dormant account reports.Balances savings bond accounts, travelers’ checks.Assists with night depository bags and mail-in deposits.Opens and closes vault under dual control.Processes rejected items, returned item; prepares transmittal letters, federal tax deposits, and wire transfers.Processes batch and transmit cash advances to processor.Provides superior service to customers and employees.Cross-sells Bank's products and services.Fills in for supervisor in supervisor's absence.Participates and ensures compliance with all Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), USA Patriot Act, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR).Compliance with accurate completion of Currency Transaction Report (CTR) and Monetary Instrument Log (MIL).

The position is situated in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco.  Hours:  M-F.
