VP Commercial Business Development Officer

1. Position Purpose and Objectives
Execute sales plans to achieve corporate commercial loan production and service goals. Participate on cross-functional sales teams.

2. Major Duties and Essential Functions
1. Use Service Standards in every work related interaction.
2. As a member of a cross-functional sales team, develops market penetration strategies and scripts/tools to be used by sales team to build relationships, increase sales volumne, and reach desired production and service objectives.
3. Assesses and plans for market opportunities with sales teams (retail delivery, outside sales, lending, partner companies) to build collaborative client-focused sales processes.
4. Educates branch and subsidiary staff on commercial loans to increase the sales of this product.
5. Complies with company policies/procedures and quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Completes required courses outlined in the Individual Training Plan for this position and achieves at least 90% score on tests.
7. Completes annual recertification courses and skill based tests with a minimum score of 90%.
8. Other duties as necessary to achieve the goals of the department and of the credit union.
9. Maintains a working knowledge of BSA laws/regulations applicable to area of responsibility; complies with all BSA laws/regulations.

4. Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to commercial loans; ability to create sales plans and meet production goals; ability to identify opportunity and control sales processes to create win/win outcomes; ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, build and maintain supportive relationships with divisions and contribute to sales teams to meet specified
objectives; excellent presentation, influencing and customer service skills; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to portray high degree of professionalism with a confident, assertive, yet collaborative style, to influence a corporate sales environment; high level
understanding of sales/marketing strategies and sales cycles/processes; ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, team environment to organize and plan for optimal productivity; strong computer and applications experience.

5. Education: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum three years of similar or related experience in the financial field.
