The role:  Manager, National Construction Mortgage Lending Operations/Risk Management

 

We are looking for a strong leader who can take charge of high-performing operations and risk management teams in our Construction Mortgage Lending group.  We need a leader with flexibility, management experience and outstanding decision-making skills.

 

This role requires direct management over our underwriting/builder risk and compliance areas, as well as our construction loss mitigation/loan workout area.  This manager will help drive key components of operations and thus must be able to use quantitative skills to make strategic decisions.  In this fast-paced environment, this manager must also exercise extraordinary judgment.

 

Responsibilities:

 National experience in construction mortgage lending operations, processing, underwriting, closing, quality control review, credit risk management, credit policy, guaranty insurance, loan workout and loss mitigation, as well as statistical measurement and performance analysis.Leadership experience including all personnel issues, operations, budgeting and creating successful strategies for business and builder development.Extensive knowledge and experience in interviewing, evaluating and training underwriters, as well as managing the design and publication of training materials.Strong interface skills and experience with senior executives for strategic decision making.Excellent relationship and team building skills that drive success for all assignments.Experienced in developing material for and giving internal and external presentations with strong oral and written communications skillsProvide advisory oversight for  “Builder and Manufacturer Registration”Oversee the Construction/Permanent loan workout process for the entire portfolio

 

 

Requirements:

 Strong Construction to Permanent mortgage background along with Credit Risk experienceBA/BS or equivalent experience requiredOutstanding leadership skillsStrong organizational, analytical and technical abilitiesProven track record of success in previous work experiences.Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, team dynamicExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management
