VP Operational Risk Management/Corporate Governance

Our client, a major international bank, located in New York City, is seeking an Operational Risk Management VP to join their Corporate Governance Division. 

 

This is an instrumental group within the bank that handles the quality control for all business lines specifically Risk Management.  The individual will be responsible for overseeing Operational Risk Management including preparation of reports, analyses and recommendations.

 

Our client is offering a starting salary range of $140K – 150K base plus competitive bonus.

 

Major Responsibilities: Develop and enhance the operational risk reporting framework and make recommendations to the Risk Management Committee.Provide advice on operational risk issues including drafting and distributing policies and procedures.Remain aware of new operational risk issues that arise and develop ways to monitor these new risk issues.Maintain close communication with senior risk officers nationwide.



Job Requirements: 10-15 + years of experience in an operational risk department at a corporate or investment bank Strong risk assessment skills including calculating loss and risk allocationAbility to implement controls and communicate with internal departments effectivelyExceptional communication skills – Oral and WrittenBachelor’s degree is required
