VP, Real Estate Lender

An International Bank is seeking a VP Manager for its Real Estate Department. Required: 10-15 years of job related experience, BA or Masters Degree, experienced in private industry. Technical bank lending experience in real estate, advanced credit background. Give/ receive information internally, investigate complex information to CEO, advise/consult with division executives, and internal committees, give/receive external information, advise with commercial customers, persuade/sell to clients, advise with professional service firms and consultants and professional organizations. Advise with vendors. Write memos/letters/reports/proposals on weekly basis. Participate in and conduct weekly discussions, make frequent presentations. Manage 2 levels of managers, responsible for the Department. Requires up to 10 % regional travel, problem solving and leadership skills. Position has responsibility for management, credit quality, and adherence of the real estate portfolio and to oversee NY business. Duties: Set goals to meet budget requirements, develop new business, screen loan prospects before meeting with Credit Committee, visit clients, prepare annual real estate market review, advise clients concerning real estate, member of Credit Committee for real estate issues, advise operations on real estate. Managers will give appraisals, hire staff, recommend personnel matters.
