VP of Risk Management and Compliance

We have unlimited career opportunities and are seeking a qualified candidate for a Vice President of Risk Management and Compliance. We provide a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that allows for creativity and a work/life balance.   We are seeking candidates with past experience in building a scalable risk management function.  This role will have responsibility for risk prevention, detection and resolution across every aspect of the organization (excluding credit risk).    Specifically, the functions reporting to this VP include: Internal Audit- Store and Corporate Functional Areas Risk Based Regulatory Compliance Physical Security Fraud & Crime Prevention, Detection and Resolution Insurance Loss Prevention for a Retail Environment   This role will involve a great deal of initial strategic planning, organizational development, recruiting, talent management, technology evaluation and implementation, etc. Responsibilities include: Coordination of internal risk management standards and policy implementation. Design, development and implementation of programs for due diligence, and control environment reviews of outside service providers to ensure all regulatory requirements are being met. Develop and implement a strategic approach for use of the risk platform to maximize risk visibility, identification, remediation, tracking and reporting, focusing on the following modules: General Control Based Self Assessment, Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s) Detailed Risk Based Assessment/Training (Sarbanes), Internal/External Audit /Regulatory Findings, Integration of Organizational losses, and Capital Allocation. -High level of integrity and trust -Bachelors degree in Accounting & Finance, Masters Preferred -Solid experience in risk control, compliance and audit required -Self Directed with experience in achieving success through teamwork -Strong analytical and conceptual skills applied in structured timely manner -Competence in project management across the full project life cycle. -Competence in Regulatory Examination -Solid background in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Programs -Competence in the areas of change management process flows and control. -Experience in information and physical security reviews -Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Risk Management Programs with a focus on IT & Operational Risk -Demonstrated experience in the area corporate insurance We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
