Vice President - Chief Compliance Officer, Ameriprise Bank, FSB
Description:Ameriprise Bank, FSB is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, reporting to the Bank President. This position is responsible for ensuring a robust, end-to-end compliance program that is integrated with all bank products, services and operational activity in an effort to ensure adequate safeguards are in place to protect the assets of the client and institution. This includes:-- Design, develop, enhance, and assist with implementation of bank policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Privacy and other related compliance related laws and regulations, including all applicable state and federal laws. -- Maintain and enhance compliance processes related to accounts, account monitoring and currency reporting procedures consistent with Federal law and OTS regulatory requirements, notably the USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act and Privacy Act. -- Maintain and enhance the CRA/CCD program for the Bank-- Monitor processes to ensure appropriate periodic and exception reporting protocols are in place in an effort to keep bank management and Board of Directors fully apprised of BSA compliance. -- Develop and deliver internal bank staff/Board of Director training pertaining to Compliance regulations and procedures, as appropriate and required. -- Ensure adequacy of all internal bank processes and procedures for identification and reporting of Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).-- Responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive internal and compliance audit programs, including being on point to assist and coordinate internal and external auditors and regulatory examiners during periodic audits, as necessary and appropriate. -- Develop and leverage relationships across Ameriprise Financial to effectively integrate compliance effectiveness and efficiency.Qualifications:-Minimum of 8 years progressive relevant audit and/or compliance experience, including at least 3 years of specific experience with USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, Anti-Money Laundering issues, with exposure to SARS, OFAC, FinCEN. Experience with Personal Trust compliance.-Expert understanding of relevant Federal Banking Regulations and the regulatory examination processes administered by the OTS or other similar federal and state regulatory agencies. -Ability to take initiative, take ownership and provide thought leadership on complex problems to find best practice solutions, including researching, interpreting, and analyzing impact to banking operations and management-Demonstrated motivational, leadership, coaching and supervisory skills. -Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external constituencies, including bank senior management, bank regulators and Board of Directors.-Strong analytical ability, good judgment, strategic and multi-dimensional thinker. -Ability to propose creative solutions and effective programs that will assist Management with Bank growth and efficiency.-BS, BA or BBA Degree.
