Web Designer
Job Description: This position will be responsible for Web user interface design and development to create a unique, differentiated on-line banking customer experience for PNC. This individual must be highly-motivated, energetic and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment. He/She should have strong user interaction design experience using Web 2.0 technologies. This individual will be responsible for interfacing with LOB customers from a variety of business segments to conduct interactive design sessions and ensure that graphic and design efforts are documented. Employee will participate in and lead all segments of the presentation design for both Web sites and Web-based applications; this may include treatments, mock-ups, prototyping, screen specification, front-end development, and QA. Employee may be responsible for conducting and/or supporting customer focus groups. Senior-level expertise in all components of user interface design is essential (both aesthetic and navigational aspects). Proficiency in HTML, CSS, AJAX, Adobe Flex and JavaScript is required; Java / JSP familiarity is desirable. Extensive knowledge of related Web site management software & tools is needed (e.g., Flash, .PDF, standard image file formats, RSS, etc). Other key criteria include: Excellent interpersonal skills; experience working with clients from conceptualization to deployment; excellent teamwork; exposure to the methodologies associated with large-scale, multi-tier systems deployment; Web site management experience. Proven ability to conduct successful prototyping and customer feedback sessions / focus groups is desired. A portfolio of content and/or Web site references will be requested.
