Web Server Administrator

This position includes:

· Administration of multiple IIS 5 or higher web servers including installation, upgrades, load balancing, code deployment, documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
· Administration of clustered/standalone SQL 2000 servers including installations, maintenance, managing and archiving backups, documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
· Assisting technical support and development staff with the testing and installation of web-based database applications.
· Administration of apache web servers including installation, upgrades, load balancing, code deployment, documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting.

Basic qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related, 3 years of experience in a production environment and the following knowledge, experience and abilities:

• 2+ years Installation/Administration IIS 5.0 or greater
• 2+ years Installing/Administering Web servers in an enterprise environment
• 2+ years Experience with Active Directory
• Experience supporting .NET applications
• Must have experience in a high volume/high uptime, 7X24 enterprise environment
It is a plus to have:
• Experience with MS operating systems/software, domains, monitoring event logs and applying service packs/updates hardware and computer systems experience
• Networking components and concepts such as network cards, switches, routers, IP addressing, DNS and cabling
• Experience installing and supporting standalone and/or clustered SQL Servers in a production environment
• Ability to respond and support systems problems 24 x 7
• Work with the 24/7 support staff / provide documentation to ensure all systems are properly monitored and problems are correctly escalated.
• Experience with HTML and ASP is a plus.
• Experience SQL reporting services and crystal reports.
