Windows Security Engineer

Job Title: Information Security Engineer/Windows Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: 6 Month
Rate: DOE

 

 

The candidate will work in development and production environments and will assist in the integration of windows clients, servers, and third-party applications.  The candidate must be able to diagnose problems, document causes, implement corrective actions, and validate that corrective actions were effective.  The candidate will join a small team of integration engineers to, test, analyze research, integrate, and peruse various technical tasks to completion.

 

Will participate in project meeting, be responsible for assigned deliverables, and must exercise sound judgment when implementing changes.

 

 

Skills Required:

 This is a highly technical position requiring a strong understanding of MS Windows server, Active Directory, familiarity with MS Exchange Server/Outlook Client, Global Policy, and Windows Authentication methods in an enterprise environment. Experience with Windows administrative tools such as MMC snap-ins, regedit, and general familiarity with certificates required. Must have the ability to analyze event and application logs to identify problems relating to test and integration activities. Must have Windows EFS knowledge and experience working with encrypted files.

 

Desired skills:  Knowledge and working experience with a Microsoft PKI utilizing hardware encryption modules for encryption processing. CRL publishing and certificate management. Experience with Microsoft Certificate Management or Entrust Certificate management products. CISSP, GCSC, and/or SANS certifications.
