Windows System Administrator

Business Overview:

The team is involved in Planning, implementing and supporting Futures eTrading applications that provide institutional clients access to exchanges globally. Project participation will be from business concept through system training, deployment and support. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Projects

·  Management of Futures Client Connectivity IT projects as required by the Futures business.

·  Receipt, testing and implementation of Client Connectivity software releases/patches when required.

·  Support of the Front Office electronic trading application

·  Build solid working relationships with clients, traders and vendors.

·  Proactively manage issues to a successful conclusion, following up as necessary.

·  Manage and participate in developing effective internal communication and sharing of information specifically in relation to Client Connectivity

Team

·  Liaise closely with other team members (globally).  

·  Assist on projects and with system testing during upgrades and new releases.

·  Produce plans for ongoing projects, releases and support.

·  Liaise with Business and IT staff from other sites where appropriate and visit these sites when required.

·  Be flexible & prepared to work in a changing environment, as business needs dictate.

·  Assist in the development of existing processes and create new processes as required.

Technical Skills

1. Strong knowledge of Windows OS

2. Practical understanding of Relational Databases

3. Strong experience in all aspects of Front Office Electronic trading applications.  Prior experiences with PATS and TT are very desirable

4. Networking Fundamentals including TCP/IP/Multicast over LAN, WAN and VPN

5. Understanding of Firewalls

6. Good UNIX skills Experience with scripting languages
