Including yours. * As ranked for 2006 by Inside Mortgage Finance (Feb. 2, 2007)© 2007.Workout Negotiator III   Primary Responsibilities Include:·  Analyzing and negotiating Workout transactions on Defaulted Mortgage Loans·  Negotiating with Borrowers, external Lenders, Investors, private Mortgage Insurance companies, Real-Estate Agents, Attorneys and other Countrywide Representatives from initial Workout request to final close·  Assisting in overseeing the smooth flow of Workout transactions as they apply to other Technicians·  Regularly communicating with Mortgagors that are seriously delinquent to identify and counsel Borrowers on the best available Workout options·  Obtaining all necessary documentation from Mortgagors·  Coordinating Workouts with applicable internal departments (as necessary)·  Handling highly complex Workout cases·  Completing documentation of Workout efforts (including communications, reasons for default, payment plans, phone number/address updates, etc.)·  Providing proper and timely and RESPA-compliant responses to Mortgagor correspondence·  Conducting research and following-up on critical and/or irate customer issues, as assigned for the Team Leader·  Assisting Workout Technicians with the resolution of problem accounts and complaint calls/correspondence·  Assisting Managers and Team Leaders with the training and coaching of new hires·  Assisting the Team Leader in recording/analyzing daily statistics and/or completing special projects (as assigned)   A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  High school diploma or equivalent·  3-5 years experience within a high-volume Collections and/or Call-Center environment—preferably in a Mortgage Banking, Insurance, Real Estate or related environment·  Knowledge of Mortgage Banking—specifically VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC and Conventional Loan Servicing·  Knowledge of and familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FCRA and state and federal laws pertaining to Financial Privacy, Fair Lending, Collections, Bankruptcy, Workout, Foreclosure, Payoffs and Assumptions·  PC proficiency (including Microsoft Word and Excel)·  Ability to type 30+ wpm·  10-key skills (by touch)·  Ability to navigate Countrywide's AS400 system·  Detail-orientation·  Self-motivation·  Ability to organize assigned work·  Ability to be a team player·  Excellent listening, comprehension, negotiating and verbal communication skills·  Effective written communication skills·  Strong analytical skills·  Basic mathematical skills·  Ability to multi-task and follow assignments to completion·  Effective organizational and time-management skills·  Ability to work with a variety of people with varying levels of loan-related knowledge/comprehension   The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:·  Completion of college coursework in Business, Finance or related field·  Internal experience as a Workout Negotiator II   Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
