The candidate will be responsible for supporting and optimizing a suite of ADME assays such as PAMPA, Caco-2, metabolic clearance, reversible or time-dependent drug interactions and other transporter assays in Cambridge. The candidate will be dedicated to the daily operation of the existing profiling assays with the agreed throughput, and interpretation of the data. In addition, his/her duty also includes the maintenance/trouble-shooting of a number of automation systems in the lab. The candidate may initiate, lead or participate in the development of new ADME assays. The candidate must have the ability to work interactively on inter-disciplinary teams. The candidate must have excellent communication skills to present at project team meetings, explain the data and offer scientific advice. It will be preferable that the candidate is able to draft scientific proposals and manuscripts/reportsQualificationsBS +5 yrs, or M.S. +2 yrs in drug metabolism/transporter, pharmaceutics, PK/PD, analytical or related fields. Good understanding of underlying principles of cell culturing, in vitro enzymology, PK/PD and analytical chemistry is essential. The candidate must be strong in bioanalysis, lab automation and data management and knowledge of application software in lab automation (Robot, and plate reader) is a plus. Expertise for working with high-throughput in vitro ADME profiling assays is highly preferred. Successful experience in working toward a timeline is favored. Excellent communication (in both oral and written formats) and favorable teamwork skills are a must. Experience in leading technology exploratory projects is desired.
