ANALYTICAL CHEMISTS

An Ag industry leader creating scientific breakthroughs around the world, Monsanto's headquarters in St. Louis seeks 3 experienced ANALYTICAL CHEMISTS who will be a part of the Chemical Process and Product Analytical Team.

The ANALYTICAL CHEMISTS will provide analytical chemistry support for Monsanto's agricultural chemistry business and provide support for various teams within Monsanto. The individuals will work closely with these teams to investigate new analytical techniques, develop analytical methods, and provide quantitative analysis of small molecules. A broad based analytical chemistry background is needed for each position, and all three positions may require limited travel to manufacturing sites.

Of the 3 Analytical Chemists needed, below are the following requirements for each role:
- Position 1: Requires a BS/MS degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience. It is focused on liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, and automated sample preparation. Additional skills in chemometrics, autotitrations, infrared spectroscopy, and GC-MS would be beneficial.

- Position 2: Requires a BS/MS degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience. It is focused on atomic spectroscopy with an emphasis on ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and associated sample preparation techniques. Additional skills in liquid chromatography and chemometrics would be beneficial.

- Position 3: Requires a BS/MS degree in Chemistry with at least 5 years of experience or a PhD in Chemistry. It is focused on liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, and the synthesis and characterization of small organic compounds. Additional skills in NMR, FTIR, NIR, thermal analysis, and chemometrics would be beneficial.
