Work directly for a growing New Jersey area biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and potential commercialization of fully human antibody-based therapeutics to treat life- threatening and debilitating diseases, including cancer, inflammation, autoimmune and infectious diseases.Analytical/Formulations Development - DirectorJob Description: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising all activities of the Analytical and Formulations Development department; overseeing and guiding a multi-disciplinary team; developing stable protein formulations and analytical characterization methods including development and implementation of protein formulations for a variety of protein therapeutics to improve product stability; investigating protein structure/functional relationship and biochemistry of monoclonal antibodies; developing, optimizing, and performing routine biochemical characterization of monoclonal antibodies to support pre-clinical, clinical and research applications and for qualification, validation and transfer of methods to Quality Control department; contributing to the identification, creation and progression of new technologies; interacting with other Technical Operations departments; recruiting, managing, developing and training of staff; preparing and managing operating and capital budget for the department and participating in other tasks as needed. Position will report to the Vice President of Technical Operations.Required Skills: Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field in biotechnology. 10+ years of experience in the biotechnology field including formulation and analytical development. Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of scientists. Prior experience with GMP activities. Must be proficient in techniques such as LC chromatography, Mass Spec, Capillary and gel electrophoresis, carbohydrate analysis, FTIR, Differential Scanning Calorimetry and particle analysis.
