AP Clerk I/Mail Room Clerk A Work Location: ThorofareShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 0Position Summary Under close supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, responsible for opening, accurately sorting, and distributing the incoming mail for the accounts payable department in a timely manner. In a fast-paced, high volume environment, responsible for the accurate and timely handling of outgoing mail in addition to various other mail room activities as needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Opens, sorts, and distributes accounts payable mail according to transaction type. Barcodes, batches, and attaches batch header and calculator tape to Trade invoices. Enters batch headers in A/P IRAPM system for tracking. Ensures "no loss" of cash discount by sorting and distributing FIFO documents in a timely manner. Responsible for the accurate and timely distribution of faxed documents. Must be willing to work overtime hours, as needed, in order to meet departmental objectives. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, or similar vocations is a plus. Completion of a high school degree or equivalent certification is required. Normally requires less than one (1) year related experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
