APPLICATIONS SUPPORT ANALYST

Our CLIENT is the world leader in the development and manufacture of cGMP oligonucleotides for therapeutic application. They are seeking for their Milford, Ma facility:

 Applications Support Analyst

 
 

Key Job Responsibilities:Act as primary point of support for the end-user community to assist with, and correct, issues related to supported applications.
Resolve or escalate support issues to Application Manager or Application Project Manager as appropriate.Work with Application Manager and key business managers to prioritize requests for support and application enhancement.Coordinate activities with outsourced IT resources on various support matters as needed. Log, track, and trend end-user community support requests driving efforts to build an effective knowledge base to enhance customer service levels.Work with business groups to identify and resolve problems using seeded application capabilities wherever possible.Work with end-user community to map new process requirements to applications functionality and to determine appropriate solutions, which may include manual procedures where financial or resource issues dictate.Identify operational inefficiencies, conflicting business practices, and integration issues with the objective of recommending alternative solutions. Provide training for end-users on available applications.Support IT change control policies and implements system-based policies and procedures to help ensure compliance.Complete special projects as requested.

 


Job Knowledge Required:A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a business related area is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in supporting enterprise-wide online applications required.A minimum of two (2) years of Oracle 11i experience in Financial, Process Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Applications highly preferred. Discoverer and PLSQL experience a plus.
