Assign and allocate resources (personnel, capitol, and equipment) to meet project timelines. Interact with development/manufacturing to plan, prioritize, & ensure timely execution of process development programs.Provide technical ldeadership from project teams during the development and Tech Transfer phasesDemonstrate broad knowledge base in molecular biology, fermentation technology and cell culture technology with novel approaches to problem solving/troubleshooting. Interface with multidisciplinary team to ensure that processes / equipment are logistically compatible for scale-up during development prior to technology transfer. Provide assistance with technical marketing by drafting technical scopes of work, preparing technical presentation for potential customers and attending/presenting at national scientific meetings. Maintain quality systems & cGMP compliance by ensuring all comply with processes & proceduresKnowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulationsEnsure compliance with safety rules and regulations and provides coaching and performance feedback to all direct reports and assures that all team members are being developedQUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biochemical Engineering or related discipline. 5 to 10 years experience in molecular biology, fermentation technology or cell culture technology with experience in scale-up and development of biopharmaceutical production processes. Proven leadership and management/supervisory experience required. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability in technical writing.
