Account Manager II Work Location: Houston, TexasShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under the general direction of senior management, the Specialty Pharmacy Account Manager, has primary responsibility for all aspects of marketing, sales, service and business issues related to their customer accounts. Customers may include payers, physicians, clinics, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and employer groups. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Actively sells and promotes the services and programs provided by ABSG related to drug therapy and pharmacy care issues. Responsible for the initial placement/promotion of new products and services. Introduce and sell all products and services and ensure the proper installation and use. Provide customers with information on all services, products, pricing and special promotion as well as overall pricing strategy/policy. Responsible for instructing the customer or related personnel in handling orders and continually audit the process for customer satisfaction. Understands the physical, psychological and social challenges of specific disease states and available drug therapy. Answers and resolves customer inquiries within committed timeframes. Actively finds and cultivates new sales opportunities under the guidance and support of senior management. Remain aware of competitive sales activity in the area and inform management of competitive trends. Frequent contact with senior management to develop goals and objectives for the sales territory and coordinate any new account efforts. Provide feedback on service, products and territory needs. Completes various special projects as assigned. Performs other related duties as required. Experience and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences or a closely related field. One to three years of progressively responsible experience in sales and/or marketing within a specialty pharmacy health insurance, medical service/supplies or pharmaceutical industry. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good group presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Computer literacy with MS Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong time management, organization skills, initiative, professional demeanor and positive attitude. Good analytical skills with ability to read and understand financial statements, spreadsheets and graphs. Attention to detail, quick study, self-motivated, proactive, and the ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative.
