Job Description Accounts Payable Accountant Summary: Ensure timely processing of all invoices and credits according to vendor/distributor terms. Invoice coding, including reconciliation of invoices to the G/L account to ensure proper billing. Generate check proposals on a timely basis. Yearly audits on vendor master data. Perform back up duties as necessary. Generate 1099 forms for independent contractors to report all income accurately. Maintain sales and use tax database Preparation of monthly aging of Accounts Payable and monthly bank reconciliation Participate in the month end close, account reconciliation and reporting Maintain strong vendor relations Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Excellent analytical skills with an advanced knowledge of MS Excel Ability to multi-task, work independently and use good judgment, to complete a given task. Individual must be energetic,professional, and able to work with limited supervision. Thorough working knowledge of all Accounts Payable functions with past experience in a high volume, medium to large-size company Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and build and maintain relationships throughout the organization A team player who works effectively in high pressure situations and adaptable to changing requirements Non-Negotiable Criteria: Minimum 2 years of full cycle accounts payable experience. Prior experience with heavy AP experience required. Job Level: Experienced
