Accounts Payable Clerk - Part Time

We are seeking an experienced, qualified person to join our Accounting team part-time in the role of Accounts Payable Clerk.

 

Responsibilities Include: Match receiving documents to purchase orders and invoices. Verify expense reports by checking for proper documentation. Ensure proper sign off on invoices and expense reports is obtained prior to processing. Confirm all policies and procedures related to A/P functions are followed. Perform accurate data entry of invoices and purchase orders into Great Plains accounting software. Contact vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment timeframes, and other questions. Interact with all employees throughout the company, working most closely with accounting and shipping/receiving departments. Provide other accounting support, including filing, scanning and copying. Perform related duties, special projects and/or other functions as required.

Qualifications Include: High School diploma with a minimum of two years accounts payable experience OR Associates Degree/some college accounting courses with up to two years experience is required.  Prior working knowledge of MS Excel and Great Plains software, or equivalent accounting and spreadsheet software, is required. Demonstrated ability to understand the chart of accounts and properly code invoices. Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work successfully in a team setting. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, be flexible, work well under pressure and produce accurate and timely work.
