Administrative Assistant - Records Managment

A position in the Corporate Law Department for the control of on-site filing and record retention maintenance.

- Database input and tracking of files both on and off site
- Generate reports on record retention for each area of the department
- Administration of archiving process and general responsibility for overall organization of files within the department
- Assist in opening, entering and tracking files throughout the department
- Interface directly with Litigation Assistant and Project Manager for training and workload management
- Assist in various special projects in the department requiring additional support

- Some legal background (education/experience) helpful
- Understanding of database function and implementation
- Knowledge of Windows 98 and XP; Word 97 or higher
- Superior organizational skills
- Experience working with filing systems
- Ability to exercise independent judgment with limited supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate with all department personnel
- Superior verbal analytical/comprehension skills
- Able to protect and maintain the confidentiality of privileged and confidential or otherwise sensitive information
