Analytical Chemist - R&D ( Locals ONLY 6 openings available)

Impax Laboratories, Inc. is a technology based specialty Pharmaceutical company applying its formulation expertise and drug delivery technology to the development of controlled-release and specialty generics in addition to the development of branded products.

 

Job Summary: The chemist is primarily responsible for the method development and validation for testing of finished products and raw materials.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Potency Assay, Content Uniformity and Impurities testing by HPLC under instructions.

·  Development of stability indicating HPLC methods.

·  Validation of HPLC methods.

·  Support ANDA.

·  GC, IR, UV, TLC and/or other wet chemistry techniques.

·  Follow GMP.

·  Other tasks as needed in the R/D Lab such as stability and in-process sample testing

 

Requirements:

·  Minimum of a BS degree in science related field; one with chemistry degree is preferred; other fields such as Biology majors with equivalent chemistry background may also qualify. 

·  Must have strong mathematical skills and experience of basic wet chemistry techniques.
