Yoh Scientific has a contract opening for an Analytical Chemist in the West Point, PA area. Our customer is a global research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to putting patients first. They discover, develop, manufacture and market vaccines and medicines to address unmet medical needs.

Responsibilities:
• Will apply methods for the high throughput analysis of a variety of chemical formulations and macromolecules by HPLC, GC/MS, UV/Vis, fluorescence, LC/MS, NMR and Dynamic light scattering
• Additionally, this individual may be asked to create new analytical methods, analyze and interpret data, participate in data entry, prepare reports, present data at company meetings, and assist in the preparation of chemical formulations
• Depending on applicant’s background and the assigned project, duties may include coordinating activities with other groups within the company

Qualifications:
• Qualified applicants will have earned a BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar biological field with more than 2 years of relevant industrial experience
• Expertise in using HPLC, UV/Vis, fluorescence, LC/MS and DLS, both in operation and data analysis is required
• Familiarity with Water’s Empower™, Molecular Devices’ Softmax Pro™, and Microsoft’s Excel™ and PowerPoint™ software is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must
