Analytical Imaging Software Engineer

Due to our continued growth, Roche NimbleGen, Inc. has a full time position open for an Analytical Imaging Software Engineer who is experienced in working with analytical image data.  This is a high profile position; the person in this role will play a key role in developing robust analytical image solutions critical to our microarray business. 

 

We are seeking an innovative, creative problem solver who will be accountable for:

· All aspects of software development: research, design, implementation, test, documentation and 2nd tier support.

· Image analysis software solutions to problems including: pattern recognition, quantification, background modeling and contaminate detection.

· Image processing software solutions to problems including: background correction, image I/O, compression, image display, contrast/brightness adjustment, cropping, spatial transformation.

Minimum requirements include: Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred.  Additional relevant work experience in lieu of a BS will be considered. Minimum of three years of experience designing and developing robust image processing and analysis software applied to analytical data.2-3 years of experience developing in Java applying Java Advanced Imaging to imaging problems preferred.The ideal candidate would also have some combination of: Experience with C/C++. Experience working with large analytical images.Experience with dual-channel image analysis.
