Application Programmer Analyst I
Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. Otsuka is seeking an Application Programmer Analyst I who will be responsible for researching, qualifying, packaging and distributing new applications to standard build desktops and laptops. The individual will be partially responsible for creating and maintaining the desktop and laptop images. The Application Programmer Analyst I also provides integration services and support for various company support applications. In addition, the individuaI is also responsible for providing regular assistance to the Technical Support team by addressing and resolving escalated applications issues.
The specific duties of the Application Programmer Analyst 1 are as follows:Use Active Directory Group Policy Objects, Software Restriction policies, and Remote Installation Services to deploy software, configure workstations, and/or restrict the installation of unauthorized software.Use systems management software such as Altiris Client Management Solution to deploy software and inventory systems.Use packaging technologies such as Wise Package Studio or Microsoft Software Installer technology to automate software deployment or patching. Perform prototype testing, patching, upgrading, and administrative installation in a locked down environment to deploy and manage software according to Company standards. Creates documentation required by company standards.Utilize scripting languages such as VB Script, Java Script, Winbatch or similar languages as a wrapper to installun-install software.Manage desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and handheld software for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and desktop printers.Perform advanced hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, to include desktop and laptop workstations, printers, networking, and cabling.
The successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:Minimum two years experience as a help desk analyst required.Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS preferred. Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, network security, PC workstations (configuration and connectivity), network servers, application software, and troubleshooting techniques. Microsoft, CompTia, or other software/hardware certification or training a plus. Ability to install and troubleshoot various software packages at the desktop level.
