The Application Sales team is a specialty sales team created to drive revenue growth through technical sales activities in leading edge applications. This team will work closely with the existing MB sales teams and have strong alignment with marketing and product management. Responsibilities: - Exceed plan for product responsibility through direct selling and in conjunction with the MCB sales team - Provide technical expertise with regard to market direction, AB applications and competitive offerings - Provide input to product groups, and on business planning, sales training content and sales tools - Grow and diversify AB customer base Qualifications/Experience - Minimally requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 3-5 years previous technical experience including expertise in Genotyping techniques - Previous customer interface experience in a technical sales role strongly preferred - Ideal candidate will possess a laboratory background followed by experience in a commercial role - Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form - Ability to travel 50% as needed to meet the needs of the customer and the AB sales teamSkills/Behaviors: Ability to - Develop relationships and work effectively with customers and internal partners - Establish oneself as a technical consultant for customers on their key technology decisions - Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills - Leverage technical expertise to consistently deliver on sales targets - Detail a history of performance - Communicate the value of strong influencing and partnering skills; with a history leadership, either formal or informal by title - Manage the genotyping business as a virtual franchise - Understand the sales process and set both strategy and tactics in the field - Demonstrated ability to thrive in team environments, with specific achievement of shared goal.Submit Your Resume Online Now
