Scope and Responsibilities:
• Tissue Recovery
• Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, and the ability to understand patient charts and lab results
• College courses in biology, nursing, and other health care related fields are preferred, Bachelors Degree in Biology or Human Anatomy preferred.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to professionally manage confidential informationSkills/ Requirements Qualifications:
• Someone who is passionate about advancing medical science.
• An individual who is self-motivated, can multitask, and adapts well to a fast paced quick changing environment.
• A team player
• Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification preferred, but not required.
• C.N.A., R.N., O.R. Tech, tissue banking, blood banking, EMT or similar healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AATB standards and CTBS certification a plus.
• Gross Anatomy, Morgue or Medical Examiner's Office experience is beneficial.Important Notes Science Care is an AATB accredited tissue bank that is dedicated to advancing medical science.
