Assistant Manager, Software Quality Assurance Work Location: Not ApplicableShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under general direction of the senior manager, responsible for the day-to-day management of the quality assurance team and will oversee multiple development projects to ensure timelines are met. Acts as a mentor, ensures compliance with standard development processes and tools, and provides guidance to the quality assurance team.The assistant manager will work with operations and other members of the IT team to help create quality solutions for our end users and clients. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Works closely with operations and other members of the IT team to create quality solutions for end users. Participates in the design, development and launch of new Patient Assistance and Reimbursement Support programs. Works closely with the systems development team to ensure compliance with standard development processes and tools. Develops project estimates and timelines for testing assignments; assesses resource requirements to ensure projects are staffed appropriately. Serves as a mentor for existing and new team members; provides team members with professional development support and constructive and timely feedback. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years related experience preferred and experience with Access and SQL Server required; Solid understanding of systems and analysis. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented development environment Strong understanding of market place, capabilities and business strategy Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple priorities on a time-sensitive basis Ability to demonstrate professionalism and collaborate with others Ability to design, execute and manage information systems test plans Have systems and analysis experience. Be capable of designing, executing and managing application test plans and cases. Experience with testing windows and web applications. Experience with change control software. Experience with Automation Testing tools (i.e. QTP and QC) a plus. Experience with any other development processes and tools a plus. Must have full software development lifecycle experience for new applications and will be responsible for supporting existing applications.
